FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where are the cleanups located?

A: The cleanups are located off Beach Access Rd, at the southeast end of the Alamitos Beach parking lot. Meet us on the sand near the bike path and Gaucho Beach Cafe – just look for our shade tent. Get directions using the link below.

Q: When are cleanups held?

A: Cleanups are held every fourth Sunday of the month from 10 AM to 11 AM. Please be sure to check our social media for any cancellation notices.

Q: Do I have to pay for parking?

A: No, we provide FREE parking codes for all volunteers in the Alamitos Beach Parking Lot. We post the parking codes on our social media a few days before the event. Volunteers will receive free parking when they enter the “coupon code” into the kiosk at the Alamitos Beach lot.

Q: Do I need to bring my own supplies to the cleanup?

A: Gloves and Bags are provided for all volunteers! However, if you have your own reusable gloves or buckets to collect trash, we encourage you to bring them to help reduce waste. Please note, there are only a few trash grabbers, which are handed out on a first-come first-serve basis.

Q: If I need community service hours how can I receive credit?

A: We have signed volunteer slips available for community service hours. These will be given at the end of the cleanup. We offer 1 hour of service credit for students who require this for school. If you would like up to 2 hours of service credit, this can be arranged via email request.

Q: Can I sign up in advance or can I just show up?

A: All volunteers MUST sign the safety waiver in order to participate. Simply sign in when you arrive.

Q: How can I stay updated about your cleanups?
